Reverse description Diademed and bearded bust of a king facing left, rendered in high relief with hair and beard carefully delineated in the Perside artistic tradition. The truncation shows draped shoulders, and the effigy closely follows the dynastic portrait type established by the rulers of Persis. An Aramaic inscription appears in the field to the right of the bust. The reverse design is set within an irregularly shaped flan typical of hammered coinage of this period.
