Obverse description Bust of Orodes II facing left, depicted with a short, neatly rendered beaded beard and elaborately tiered hair confined beneath a royal diadem and a distinctive wart-embellished tiara. The king wears a torc at the neck and is clad in a draped garment. A eight-pointed star appears in the left field, and a crescent symbol is positioned behind the royal headdress at upper right. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic Hellenistic-influenced Parthian style, with bold, stylized facial features.
