| Obverse description | Diademed and torqued royal bust facing left in three-quarter profile, with a short beard; the upper terminal of the torque is not visible. A winged Nike figure flies leftward behind the royal effigy, extending a wreath toward the king's head in an act of coronation. The portrait is rendered in the Hellenistic artistic tradition characteristic of early Arsacid coinage. The entire design is enclosed within a carefully executed border of pellets. |
