Obverse description Diademed bust of Orodes I facing left, wearing a distinctive tiara adorned with four rows of beaded (dotted) lines in place of the lily motif. The portrait is rendered in the Hellenistic tradition with fine detail to the facial features and drapery at the shoulder. An anchor symbol appears in the right field, serving as a royal or mint control mark. The overall style reflects the hybrid Hellenistic-Iranian artistic conventions characteristic of Parthian coinage of this period.
