Obverse description Diademed bust of Mithridates II facing left, rendered with a pronounced long beard rendered in fine parallel strokes and flowing hair swept back beneath a royal diadem whose ties fall behind the neck. The king is draped in a garment fastened with a visible torque or brooch at the shoulder, reflecting Parthian royal iconography. The finely engraved facial features display a strong aquiline nose and deeply set eye characteristic of the Rhagae mint style. The field is surrounded by a neat circular border of pellets.
