Additional information

Manchihr II ruled Persis as a vassal under Parthian overlordship, and his coinage reflects the political subordination of the region — the Frataraka and later dynasts of Persis were permitted their own silver issues, but always within the shadow of Parthian authority. Sunrise 660 and Alram 634 are the standard reference points for this type, with surviving specimens relatively few and condition typically compromised by the region's burial environments.
