| Reverse description | Zeus Aëtophoros seated left on a low backless throne, his body draped from the waist down, holding a long scepter upright in his left hand and an eagle with closed wings perched on his outstretched right hand. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the right and ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ below or to the left frame the design. A griffin seated left appears as a mint control symbol, either in the left field or below the throne depending on the emission. The composition closely follows the Alexandrine drachm prototype, adapted to assert Lysimachus's royal authority. |
