Obverse description Youthful bare head of Heracles facing right, depicted beardless in the idealized Hellenistic style, wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress with the scalp drawn over the crown and the lion's paws knotted at the neck. The facial features are finely modeled with curling locks of hair visible beneath the pelt. A dotted border frames the design at the coin's periphery.
