| Obverse description | Cow standing to right, head turned back to left to regard a suckling calf standing beneath her. A grain ear appears to the right of the group, while a bunch of grapes occupies the exergue. The magistrate's name ΛΕΩΝΙΔΑΣ is inscribed in the field, identifying the issuing magistrate responsible for this emission. The design is rendered in a compact, vigorous style characteristic of Illyrian civic coinage of the Hellenistic period. |
