| Obverse description | Stylized bust of Khusru II (Khosrow II) facing right, wearing an elaborate winged crown surmounted by a crescent enclosing a globe, with a six-pointed star affixed to the vertical bar; two wings extend from the bar toward the rim, forming a crescent-and-star motif. The portrait closely follows the iconographic type of Khusru I. The field is enclosed by two beaded rims, with a crescent-and-star ornament symmetrically placed at both sides and below. A Pahlavi marginal legend reading APD (afid, meaning 'Brave' or 'Praised') appears to the right of the bust. |

A star appears to the left of the flame and a crescent to the right. The scene is enclosed by a triple beaded border interspersed with four crescent-and-star ornaments at the cardinal points. Pahlavi legends in the margins record the regnal year of Khusru II to the left and the mint abbreviation to the right. |
