Obverse description Radiate head of Helios facing three-quarters right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with characteristically splayed radiate crown emanating from the crown of the head. The deity's hair falls in loose, flowing locks about the face and neck, with subtly idealized facial features including a straight nose and slightly parted lips. The portrait is modeled in high relief against a smooth, unadorned field, occupying the full flan in the manner typical of late Rhodian plintophoric coinage.
