| Reverse description | Athena Nikephoros enthroned to the left, wearing helmet and aegis, holding in her outstretched right hand a winged Nike who crowns the royal name inscribed in the field; her left arm rests on a large round shield decorated with a gorgoneion boss. A transverse spear leans in the background behind the throne. In the inner left field, an upright club — the emblem of Herakles and a hallmark of the Herakleia Pontika mint — is prominently placed. Two monograms appear in the exergue, serving as mint control marks. The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ above and ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ below identify this issue as struck in the name of the Diadoch king Lysimachus. |
