Obverse description Head of Herakles facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style, wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress with the animal's scalp and jaws draped over the skull and knotted at the throat. The hero's youthful facial features are sharply modeled in high relief, with curling locks visible beneath the headdress. The flan fills the design fully, emphasizing the bold, confident portraiture characteristic of the Lampsakos mint series.

Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left, his upper body nude and his lower body draped, holding a long scepter in his left hand and an eagle (aetos) perched with wings closed in his extended right hand. In the left field, the forepart of Pegasus serves as a mint control symbol. Artemis carrying a torch appears beneath the throne as a secondary control mark. The Greek legend AΛEΞANΔPOY runs along the right field, identifying the coin as issued in the name of Alexander.
