Obverse description Right-facing head of the deified Herakles in three-quarter profile, wearing the Nemean lion scalp headdress, the gaping jaw and mane rendered with fine engraving characteristic of the Kolophon mint. The ear and facial features are crisply modeled in the Hellenistic style, with the lion's forelegs knotted beneath the chin. The dotted border of the flan is visible around the periphery.

Reverse description Zeus Aetophoros seated in left profile on a backless throne, his upper body nude, lower body draped, holding a long scepter upright in his left hand and an eagle standing with wings closed in his extended right hand. In the left field, a symbol consisting of a cross-like control mark is visible. Beneath the throne, the monogram of the Kolophon mint (ΛΑ ligature) appears. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs downward along the right field.
