| Obverse description | Youthful beardless head of Heracles facing right, clad in the Nemean lion skin headdress, the scalp drawn over the crown with the beast's paws knotted at the neck; the modelling is fine and naturalistic, with carefully rendered curling hair emerging beneath the scalp. The flan shows a characteristic beaded border along the right edge. No legend appears on the obverse. |
