Reverse description Zeus Aetophoros enthroned left on a low backless throne (diphros), his body nude to the waist with drapery over his legs. He extends his right hand forward, upon which perches an eagle with closed wings, and holds a long sceptre upright in his left hand. In the left field, an ivy leaf serves as a mint control symbol; in the right field, a spearhead pointing upward serves as a secondary control mark. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field, identifying the issue as struck in the name of Alexander.
