Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a low stool-throne, his draped lower body resting on a footstool. He extends his right hand, upon which an eagle perches with closed wings, while his left hand grasps a long upright sceptre. In the left field, a civic monogram appears above a bunch of grapes, serving as the mint control symbol of Chios. The reverse legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs to the right of the throne in Greek characters.
