| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with naturalistic detail. The goddess wears an Attic helmet adorned with a crested plume and decorated bowl, with elaborate hair falling in waves beneath the helmet rim. The facial features are finely engraved, exhibiting the high-relief portraiture characteristic of Ionian civic coinage of the second century BC. The neck is slightly draped, and the field is otherwise plain. |
