Reverse description Central fire altar with two attendant figures flanking, rendered in the characteristic simplified Arab-Sasanian style derived from late Sasanian prototypes. The altar, depicted frontally with stepped base, occupies the centre of the field, while the flanking figures face inward in profile. Surrounding the central design is a series of concentric ring borders with marginal Arabic Kufic legends incorporating Islamic religious formulae, notably the Shahada. Crescents appear in the outer margin at cardinal points, echoing the Sasanian decorative tradition. The overall composition faithfully preserves the Zoroastrian fire altar imagery of earlier Sasanian coinage while integrating Islamic epigraphic elements.
