Reverse description A stag standing to the right in high relief, rendered naturalistically with slender legs and an alert posture, positioned before a tall palm tree whose fronds spread prominently across the upper field. The magistrate's name ΔΙΟΣΚΟΥΡΙΔΗΣ inscribed downward along the right field, identifying the issuing authority. The composition reflects the characteristic reverse type of Ephesian drachms of the Hellenistic period, associating the city's coinage with the sacred stag of Artemis.
