Obverse description Youthful head of the nymph Sinope facing left, rendered in fine Classical Greek style with delicately modeled facial features. Her hair is elaborately arranged, drawn back in layered waves and secured at the crown, with several loose strands falling behind the ear. Two small crescent-shaped earrings are visible at the ear. The coin is bordered by a raised ring of pellets forming a beaded outer circle, framing the effigy within the irregular flan.

Reverse description An eagle, rendered in high relief with detailed feathering, perches atop a dolphin swimming to the left, a composition emblematic of Sinope's maritime identity. The eagle's wings are partially spread and its head is turned downward toward the dolphin. The magistrate's abbreviation ΔΗ appears in the upper right field. The ethnic legend ΣΙΝΩ is inscribed in the lower exergual area in bold Greek characters, identifying the issuing city.
