Obverse description Bare head of Emperor Caligula (Gaius Caesar Germanicus) facing right, rendered in a naturalistic Julio-Claudian portrait style with short, tightly curled hair across the forehead. The effigy is depicted with youthful, idealized features and a prominent neck, typical of early provincial portraiture of this reign. The circular Latin legend runs along the periphery of the flan, partially visible on this irregularly shaped specimen.
