| Obverse description | Bust of Queen Buran facing right, wearing an elaborate Sasanian crown surmounted by a crescent and globe finial with flanking wing elements, the hair arranged in large lateral lobes secured by a beaded fillet. The effigy is encircled by a beaded inner ring and a double linear border, with a crescent-and-star symbol at the three o'clock position and a Pahlavi inscription at the nine o'clock position in the outer field. A small crescent ornament appears below the bust at the six o'clock position. |
