| Reverse description | Central fire altar flanked by two attendant figures standing in adoration, rendered in the traditional Sasanian manner with the altar flame rising prominently from the altar base. The attendants are depicted in frontal stance with hands raised toward the flame, wearing court dress typical of late Sasanian iconography. Concentric beaded borders frame the central device, with Pahlavi marginal inscriptions occupying the outer legend band, recording the governor's name and mint or regnal date information. The overall design follows the standard Arab-Sasanian reverse type derived directly from Sasanian drachm prototypes. |
