Obverse description Stylized bust of a Sasanian-type ruler facing right, depicted in the traditional late Sasanian manner with a distinctive crown or mural headdress rendered in Pahlavi-influenced artistic style. The portrait is surrounded by a circular border with marginal Pahlavi and Arabic legends in the field. The facial features are schematically rendered, retaining the iconographic conventions of late Sasanian silver coinage adapted under Arab-Sasanian administration. Crescents or pellets may appear in the outer margin as decorative or symbolic elements typical of this series.
