Obverse description Facing busts of Bahram II and a prince in confronted arrangement: the king's effigy to the right, wearing a distinctive winged crown surmounted by a korymbos hair bundle, while the prince's bust to the left is adorned with a kolah bearing a boar's head crest. The juxtaposition of the two busts, a hallmark of Bahram II's coinage, emphasizes dynastic legitimacy and royal succession. Pahlavi legends appear in the surrounding field, identifying the king and his co-depicted prince.
