| Reverse description | A fire temple or fire altar of Ahura-Mazda occupies the central field, depicted in architectural elevation as is typical of Persis dynastic reverses. Above the temple, a half-figure of Ahura-Mazda emerges from the flames, rendered in frontal or near-frontal aspect in the Zoroastrian iconographic tradition. To the inner left stands the figure of Vādfradād (the frataraka or dynastic official), facing right. To the inner right rises a standard surmounted by an eagle. The composition is tightly arranged within the flan, reflecting the compact hammered style of the Persis series. |
