Reverse description Rose with bud to right occupying the centre of the design, the civic emblem of Rhodes, flanked by the monogram P and O (Ρ / Ο) on either side. The magistrate's name ΑΡΤΕΜΩΝ is inscribed above in Greek letters. A crescent symbol appears in the lower left field as a secondary control mark. The entire design is contained within a shallow square incuse (plinth), characteristic of the Rhodian plintophoric coinage series of the mid-second century BC.
