| Obverse description | Draped bust of Athena facing right, wearing a crested Attic helmet adorned with an olive-leaf wreath, rendered in a schematic South Arabian interpretation of the Athenian prototype. The facial features are summarily struck, consistent with the local Sabaean die-cutting tradition. The neck and drapery are indicated in low relief, and the helmet crest projects prominently above the crown of the flan. The overall style reflects the imitative character of these Arabian Felix drachms, derived from late classical Athenian coinage. |
