| Obverse description | Diademed and radiate head of Antiochos VI Dionysos facing right, with flowing curly hair adorned with ivy wreath and rays, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition. The youthful effigy displays finely detailed facial features with a smooth chin, prominent nose, and lively eye. The hair is elaborately styled with voluminous curls cascading behind the ear and neck. No legend appears on the obverse, the entire field being dominated by the royal portrait. The flan shows characteristic irregular edges typical of hammered Seleucid silver coinage. |
