Obverse description Youthful head of Heracles in right profile, unbearded, enveloped in the scalp of the Nemean lion, the forelegs knotted at the throat; the rendering is vigorous and highly detailed, with the lion's muzzle riding over the crown of the head and the pelt falling in bold folds behind the neck. The facial features display the idealized Hellenistic style characteristic of the Alexandrine coinage tradition. No legend; the field is plain within a shallow incuse circle.
