Reverse description A rose in full bloom with a bud to the right, the principal emblem of Rhodes, centrally placed within a shallow square incuse (plinthophoron). The letters Ρ and Ο flank the rose to left and right respectively, serving as the ethnic abbreviation for Rhodes. The magistrate's name ΑΝΤΑΙΟΣ is inscribed above the rose, and a kantharos (wine cup) appears as a control symbol below to the left. The entire design is contained within the characteristic square incuse border that defines the plintophoric series.
