Obverse description Facing lion's head rendered in bold archaic style, depicted full face with open jaws, prominent wrinkled muzzle, and deeply incised eyes. The mane is suggested by radiating relief lines framing the face. The design is contained within a beaded border encircling the entire field, a characteristic feature of early Rhegine coinage.
