| Obverse description | Youthful beardless head of Heracles in right profile, wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress, the scalp of the lion knotted beneath the chin with visible paws, framed by a beaded border. The portrait displays characteristic high-relief Hellenistic artistry with finely rendered curling hair emerging from beneath the headdress. The field is plain, with no additional symbols or legends. The strong facial features, prominent nose, and well-modelled jaw reflect the idealized heroic type standard to the Alexandrine coinage tradition. |
