| Reverse description | A sea-eagle with wings spread stands upon a dolphin oriented to the left, a powerful civic device evoking Sinope's maritime identity and prominence along the Black Sea coast. To the upper right of the field appears the magistrate's name in Greek. Below the eagle and dolphin group, the ethnic legend ΣΙΝΩ identifies the issuing city. The composition is bold and well-centered, executed in the late Classical style typical of Sinopean silver coinage of the early Hellenistic period. |
