Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a Attic-style crested helmet adorned with a laurel branch along the bowl. The goddess's facial features are rendered with fine detail characteristic of late Hellenistic Thessalian coinage. The magistrate's abbreviated name ΑΓΑ (for Agasias) appears in the upper field to the right of the helmet crest.
