| Obverse description | Head of Herakles facing right, wearing the Nemean lion-skin headdress with the scalp tied beneath the chin, rendered in the Lysippan tradition common to coinage of this region and period. The hair is depicted in wavy locks beneath the lion-skin, and the facial features are modelled with firm, classical relief. The overall style closely follows the Alexandrine prototype. No legend appears on the obverse; the design occupies the full flan within a beaded border. |
