Reverse description Incuse square punch divided into four quadrants by a raised cross, creating a mill-sail or quadripartite incuse pattern typical of early archaic Greek coinage. The surface within each quadrant is irregular and granular, reflecting the hand-struck hammered technique of the period. The incuse is deeply impressed and centrally positioned within the flan. No inscription or subsidiary device is present. This type of reverse is consistent with the standard reverse treatment of Ionian silver coinage during the Ionian Revolt period.
