Obverse description Facing head of Dionysos, three-quarter view turned slightly to the right, wreathed with ivy and wearing a stephane, with an eagle perched atop the wreath at upper right. The hair falls in loose, wavy locks about the face and neck. The rendering is in the fine Boeotian style of the mid-third century BC, with softly modeled facial features and naturalistic detail in the foliage of the wreath.

Reverse description Poseidon standing facing, nude, his weight resting on his right leg, holding a long trident upright in his right hand and a dolphin in his outstretched left hand; a globus at his feet to the lower right. The ethnic legend ΒΟΙΩΤΩΝ is arranged vertically to the left of the figure in the field, with a magistrate's monogram to the right. The composition is characteristic of Boeotian League coinage of the Hellenistic period.
