| Obverse description | Nearly facing head of Demeter, turned very slightly to the left, veiled and crowned with a wreath of grain ears, the veil rendered in flowing folds falling to either side of the face. The effigy is modelled in high relief with sensitively detailed facial features, displaying the accomplished engraving style characteristic of late Classical Black Sea coinage. The field is plain and uninscribed. |
