Obverse description Pegasus, the winged horse, depicted in full flight to the left, with wings prominently spread and forelegs raised in a dynamic galloping pose. The musculature of the figure is rendered with considerable artistic refinement characteristic of the late Classical period. Below the body of Pegasus, the Corinthian koppa symbol (Ϙ) appears in the lower left field, serving as a civic mintmark identifying Corinth as the issuing authority. The flan is broad and well-struck, presenting the design in high relief against a smooth, lightly toned silver field.

Reverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing left, rendered in fine Classical style with elegant, idealized facial features including a straight nose, almond-shaped eye, and softly modeled chin. The goddess wears a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head, revealing her hair arranged in a chignon at the nape of the neck and adorned with a pearl diadem along the lower edge. The cheekpieces of the helmet are raised, and decorative scroll elements are visible at the bowl. A small engraver's symbol, possibly a trident or letters, appears in the lower left field. The portrait is executed in high relief with exceptional delicacy befitting the finest Corinthian die-cutting of the period.
