| Obverse description | Facing left, the bearded head of the hero Herakles is rendered in high relief with strong, naturalistic modeling. The hero is adorned with the lionskin headdress — a hallmark attribute — with the scalp and open jaws of the lion clearly articulated atop the head. The beard is rendered with fine, carefully engraved locks, and the facial features convey a vigorous, heroic character consistent with the fine engraving tradition of Pontic coinage in the fourth century BC. |

| Reverse description | A bull, depicted in a powerful butting pose, strides aggressively to the left with head lowered, rendered with muscular anatomical detail characteristic of Greek civic coinage of the period.
