Obverse description Female head facing right, identified as Persephone or a local nymph, adorned with a wreath of grain or laurel and wearing a pearl earring and necklace. The hair is rendered in fine wavy locks swept back from the forehead, with additional tresses falling behind the neck. The portrait is executed in the refined Hellenistic style characteristic of Emporitane coinage, showing clear influence from Syracusan prototypes. A border of dots or a linear circle frames the field.
