| Obverse description | Draped bust of a youthful female deity, most likely Persephone or a local nymph, facing right, with elaborately rendered wavy hair swept back and secured, adorned with a wreath of grain or laurel. The portraiture is executed in a vigorous Italiote style, with well-defined facial features. A small symbol, possibly a lizard or insect, appears behind the neck in the left field. The flan is irregular and slightly off-center, as typical of hammered coinage of the Brettii. |
