Obverse description Facing Boeotian shield depicted in high relief, rendered in the characteristic early archaic style of Boiotian coinage. The shield's distinctive cutouts are visible on both sides, with a horizontal tau (T) projecting inward from the right-hand opening. The flan is irregular and convex, with the shield design filling the entire obverse field. The die-work is bold and deeply struck, consistent with the early fifth-century Tanagran series.

Reverse description Shallow square incuse punch divided into four triangular sections by a raised mill-sail or pinwheel pattern arranged in clockwise rotation, a common archaic reverse type used across early Boiotian city coinage. The four raised diagonal arms meet at a central boss, creating a swastika-like windmill motif within the recessed square. The incuse is sharply defined with crisp geometric ridges. The surrounding flan is plain and irregular.
