Obverse description Draped female head facing right, wearing a helmet or crested headgear adorned with a serpent at the neck, closely following the Syracusan artistic tradition. The hair is elaborately rendered in wavy locks swept back beneath the helmet. The portrait occupies most of the flan and displays fine Hellenistic engraving characteristic of the Emporion mint.
