| Obverse description | Janiform (facing-both-ways) conjoined busts rendered in high relief: to the left, the diademed head of Hera facing left, her hair swept back in neat waves beneath the diadem; to the right, the laureate head of Zeus facing right, with short curling beard and hair bound with a laurel wreath. The two heads share a common neck, a distinctive civic emblem of Tenedos. The flan is irregular and the field is unadorned. |
