| Obverse description | Griffin seated right in profile, rendered in high relief with characteristic archaic stylization. The creature displays a prominently beaked eagle's head turned slightly upward, with a large circular eye and pointed ear or horn. The body is leonine with a scaly or beaded breast, elaborately striated wings folded along the back, and a curving tail. The figure rests upon a ground line indicated by a decorative band, with the plain field surrounding it typical of early Ionian coinage. |

| Reverse description | Quadripartite incuse square deeply recessed into the flan, divided into four triangular sections by two diagonal raised ridges meeting at a central point, creating a mill-sail or windmill pattern. The four compartments display alternating raised and sunken areas of irregular texture, characteristic of early archaic Greek hammered coinage technique. The incuse is sharply struck with well-defined edges, occupying nearly the full extent of the reverse field. |
