| Obverse description | Eagle in flight to the right, wings outstretched and feathers rendered in fine detail, grasping a hare in its talons and tearing at its prey with its beak. The raptor's head is depicted in profile facing right, with the powerful curved beak and eye clearly defined. The composition conveys dynamic movement characteristic of the Elean coinage tradition, with the hare's body visible beneath the eagle's talons in the lower field. The flan is irregularly shaped, as typical of hammered coinage of this period. |
