| Obverse description | Bull charging to right in high relief within a beaded border, rendered in fine archaic style with musculature carefully detailed. The animal's head is turned forward, horns prominent, and all four legs are extended in a galloping pose. The ethnic legend ΛΑΡΙΣΑΙΩΝ arcs above in the upper field. The composition conveys considerable energy and naturalistic vigor typical of Thessalian coinage of the mid-4th century BC. |
